AsianCAA Participation at Asia Pacific Conclave

-Kolkata, India

The Asian Coal Ash Association would like to thank the Coal Ash Institute of India for welcoming our Chinese delegation of industry leaders to the Asia Pacific Conclave in Kolkata this past week. The event focused on dry extraction and effective utilization of bottom ash during two days of seminars and presentations. Multiple networking opportunities allowed for the Chinese delegation to connect with other industry leaders. The delegation consisted of individuals from the Institute for Technical Information for the Building Materials Industry in Beijing,  Weifang ALPA Powder Technology & Equipment Co.,Ltd and Shangdng Pingyi Kaiyuan New Building Materials Co., Ltd.

“The delegation learned a lot this trip and were able to experience a different culture, and learn and share different approaches and technologies to local industries”, Mr. Jack Yuan, Engineer from Institute for Technical Information for the Building Materials Industry says of his experience at the 2017 Asia Pacific Conclave. Mr. Yuan and his colleagues know all too well the similarities and differences of the coal ash/bottom ash industries in India and China. The focus on this year’s China delegation was primarily to sell ash handling equipment, as explored in two presentations by our delegates Mr. Li Yushan, and Mr. Jia Wenhao attending from our previously mentioned Shanngdong Pingyi Kaiyuan, and Weifang ALPA powder companies.

AsianCAA Chairman, David Harris also addressed conference goers and provided an interview for local media concerning circular economy and looking to long term planning to solve India's shortages. See post image for interview. Materials will be published once they become available.

AsianCAA looks forward to welcoming the Coal Ash Institute of India to our annual Coal Ash Asia event this July 21st – 24th in Baotou, Inner Mongolia.
